Jeannie Rovira

Jeannie Rovira, a first-generation American and New York native, is the driving force behind NC Paralegal On The Go, a minority-woman owned paralegal firm. With a rich background in bookkeeping, human resources, project management and the accumulation of her 20+ years of experience in both litigious and transactional law, Jeannie has carved a path of success that embodies resilience, dedication, continuous learning, and service.

Her Educational Journey

In 2004, Jeannie embarked on her professional journey, obtaining certifications in Bookkeeping and Human Resources Management while simultaneously working for three (3) companies in real estate, title insurance and mortgage sectors. She was quickly promoted to real estate paralegal/bookkeeper. When the real estate market crashed in 2008, Jeannie seized the opportunity to further her education. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies at St. John’s University, graduating with honors in 2014, making her the first in her family to achieve this milestone.

A New Chapter in North Carolina

Post-graduation, life took her to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where she established her home. Despite subsequent military relocations, Jeannie remained in North Carolina, where her daughter currently pursues her education at East Carolina University. Boasting over 20 years of experience across various facets of law in non-profit and for-profit firms, for solo practitioners to big law in litigious and transactional areas of law. Including immigration, family, civil litigation, labor, probate, and business law to name a few. She has cultivated lasting relationships with colleagues, and attorneys alike throughout her career and leveraged those relationships to form NC Paralegal On the Go in 2021.

Embracing Continuous Learning and Giving Back

Her commitment to continuing education led her to become a guest speaker at Durham Tech for student paralegals and committee member of several North Carolina Bar Association committees including Minorities in the Profession and Continuing Legal Education Diversity. Outside of her professional pursuits, Jeannie engages with her community as a volunteer with the NC Bar Foundation 4ALL – Statewide Service Day, Immigration Project, Project Corazon, Immigration Advocates Network, and Guardian Ad Litem. Additionally, she holds the membership committee chair for her Business Network International Chapter.

Throughout her career, Jeannie’s passion for supporting others, fostering professional development, and building authentic client relationships has set her apart. Jeannie epitomizes the spirit of entrepreneurship, continuous learning and community engagement, making her a standout figure in the world of law. Personally, Jeannie is proud of her daughter and 2 adorable fur babies she adopted from shelters (Candy who is 16 years old and Benji who is 7). Jeannie is an avid Star Wars Collector and Blockhead!! In her spare time, she travels and enjoys lazy days whenever she gets an opportunity.
